Welcome/Call to Order, Amy Buckley (for Giovanna Lear)
The meeting was called to order at 7:01pm.

● November 11, 2024 Minutes Approval. April Ladner motioned. Tara Ference seconded. The motion carried.
Principal, Dr. Karen Calcaterra
● Athletics and activities have had a busy and successful fall season. The Board Awards ceremony was held last week. The Madrigal Dinner hosted by choir along with band and orchestra will be held next week.
● Rockwood School District is hosting a Community Read of “The Anxious Generation” with a discussion scheduled for Thursday February 13 from 6:30-8pm at the Marquette High School Theater. The Novel Neighbor is offering 20% off of the book.
● Black leggings are always needed in the Lafayette Nurses Office in sizes XXS-3XL for female students, as well as shorts for male students.
● End of Semester Assessments are coming up. Students have access to the schedule and Grade Level Principals are communicating the schedule in their weekly newsletters.
● Counselors will be working with students on their schedules for the 25-26 academic year.
● Curriculum Night will be held on 1/7/25 with a meeting from 6-6:30pm in the theater and from 6:30-7:30 to meet with curriculum areas, athletics and activities.
● The Canned Food Drive brought in 14,310 cans that were distributed to Circle of Concern and the Rockwood Got Your Backpack program.

● Adopt a Family has finished their collections. Thank you to all who participated and donated.
● School store shift managers are needed - need to revamp structure so that the store can be open on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday mornings- a minimum of 2 volunteers are required with one having had prior school store experience.
● Spirit Wear - offering 20% discount to LHS Staff through December 15th
● Store gift cards are now available for purchase online and in-person, $2.00 activation fee automatically added. Offering shipping for gift cards only
● Lancer Direct Donation Campaign - an email will be going out to those who have already donated encouraging them to seek existing matching opportunities.
● The next Presidents’ Forum meeting will be the Coffee with the Superintendent on Wednesday December 11, 2024 at Babler Elementary-anyone from the board is welcome to attend.
● November 13, 2024 Presidents’ Forum meeting minutes were shared via email.
● Standing Rules are still being worked on.
● Incoming Freshman and curriculum night is scheduled for January 7, 2025 6pm - need volunteers to assist with spiritwear sale, answering questions and encouraging volunteer signups for next year, including for Class Directors.
● January 13, 2025 will be the next LPO meeting. A NAMI speaker will be presenting.
● The April 14, 2025 LPO meeting will include speakers on the topic of "What to Expect When You Get On Campus". Campus safety was a well-received topic in the past.
● The school grant process begins in January

● Financial Reports were distributed and discussed
● Aiming to close the last remaining account at the previous bank this month.
● Will be sending out an electronic Financial Responsibility form to those handling cash in the next couple of weeks. This was previously a Google form and is now housed in MTK.

● Last newsletter of the year will be 12/16. Please send content to Aleta.
VP School Community, April Ladner
● Volunteer Needs:
○ Co-VP of Communications
○ Community Event Chairs: There is interest from 2 individuals to chair the Volleyball Challenge and Special Olympics
○ Social Media Chair
○ School Store Operations Manager, Volunteer Manager, Morning Shift Managers, Tuesday Lunch Shift Manager
● Nominating Committee
○ Work begins in January to develop the 2025-2026 Slate of Officers. Email April regarding your intentions for next year.
● Staff Appreciation : Special Recognition, Nicole Vandesteeg
○ Working to determine a date for a welcome back activity/hot cocoa bar to be held in January.
● Staff Appreciation : Staff Dinners, Colleen Poling

● Lancer Direct Donation Campaign
○ Advertised progress in the newsletter and social media. Will be sending an email regarding corporate matching to those who have previously donated.
● Lancer’s Landing
Inventory, Chelsea Watson
○ The next Pretzel Day will be 12/11/24.
○ “Item of the Month” Oreos have returned
○ Unopened items purchased for the Fun Food Friday were returned to Sam’s.
○ The next Fun Food FRiday will take place in January
Operations, (Open Position)
○ Lancers Landing will begin offering gift cards for purchase on 12/9
○ Staff discount on spirit wear begins on 12/9 with 20% off all regularly priced items
○ Need additional morning shift managers
○ The Spring Semester Volunteer sign up is open
○ There is a separate sign up for the Sub list
● Spirit Wear, Jenny Shaw & Angela Sublette
○ New items were added to the inventory online and in store
○ Additional items are being order for Curriculum Night on 1/7/25
○ There was a question raised as to why some prices on items have increased. This question will be shared with those directly involved in pricing.
Class Updates
Class of 2025 Director’s Report, Tara Ference/Dawn Werk
● A reminder for the Class of 2026 for Memory Maker Events-Prices are rising at Forest Hills, so Class of 2026 will need to consider what is affordable and price structure.
● The last meeting was held 12/3/24. Chairpersons have been identified for all Spring events. Will begin advertising Spring events in January.
● An email was sent out regarding the Blink of An Eye video.

○ The stuffed animal drive is going well.
○ Sign-up’s went out this week for needed donations and Amazon items. The volunteer sign-up will go out by Monday.
