April 8, 2024 Minutes Approval. Aleta Harris motioned, Tracy Montgomery seconded. The motion carried.
May 6, 2024 Consent Agenda Approval. Tracy Montgomery motioned. Beth Nelson seconded. The motion carried.
Principal’s Report, Dr. Calcaterra:
● Great senior week, and prom. No issues and students are always well behaved at prom and great representation of LHS.
● Preparations for graduation are almost finalized
● Senior Awards night was wonderful
● Teacher appreciation week went well. School provided Cane's Chicken for the staff on the shelf on Tuesday, and ice cream on Friday.
● School hosting a staff get together at Big Chief to celebrate the retirees.
● Presented flowers and gift for Sara Robeson. Thanked her for her time as president of the LPO.
President, Sara Robeson:
● Closet clean out – class directors and committee chairs please get your binders and supplies back to the school. June 15th would be ideal to get all items returned.
● Class directors and committee chairs – feedback about your role, things that worked, things that didn’t. Changes that the senior class made this year were great ideas.

First VP-Community Involvement, Giovanna Lear:
● We continue to seek volunteers to fill open positions including Website Manager, Hospitality, Homecoming Chair, Volleyball Challenge Chair, Special Olympics Chair, 2026 Class Directors and 2028 Class Directors/Treasurer, Website Manager, Hospitality Chair, Class Events Chairs. Please encourage parents to volunteer. Please submit any interest to Giovanna. Communications will be sent to Lafayette parents soliciting interest.
Second VP – Communications, Aleta Harris:
● Encourage class directors to put something in the coming weeks for their class announcements so parents can see what is coming next year.
Treasurer, Mark Masterson:
● Monthly Financial Report was distributed and discussed.
● The 2024-2025 Budget was presented.
● Sara R reported on proposed budget
● Dawn Werk made a motion to approve the 2024-2025 Budget as presented, Tracy Montgomery seconded. The motion carried.
Class of 2024, Tracy Montgomery & Beth Nelson:
● Senior week was a success. Paid for chick fil a and donuts for all seniors.
● Coffee truck was well liked. 25% participation, about 100 kids
● 195 tickets sold for Senior Celebration
● Volunteer sign ups doing well
● Fewer, bigger ticket items purchased and donated for raffle items for Senior Celebration. $500 airpods, $1700 laptop
● Less prizes to make check out more efficient
● Baccalaureate Thursday, May 9th
● If the class has money leftover above the $2000 that has to be left in the class account for the incoming freshman class, what happens to that surplus of money? Can that money be used for a class gift for the class of 2024?
● Sara Robeson and Dr. Calcaterra answered: The money will be pooled with any money the class principal has leftover and the school will determine the class gift.
● Tracy Montgomery and Jen Zeck are coordinating baccalaureate.
Class of 2025, Dawn Werk:
● Volunteers from TOWC have committed to coming back to help senior year
● Will be recruiting volunteers over the summer
● Already have a volunteer for a blink of an eye video for senior graduation.
Class of 2026, Jen Zeck:
● Trivia night finances reconciled will forward to Sara Robeson
● $11,152 net
Class of 2027, Jen Adams:
● Jen and Jenna working to digitize all documents for carnival to share with incoming freshman class
● Would like to help with the closet clean out
● Will the cardboard banker boxes for carnival be replaced with plastic tubs?
● Sara Rebeson: Need to check the budget for plastic bins and need to be mindful of the size of boxes because of limited space.
● Sara Robeson: Closet clean out will include organizing the closet with communal items and event specific items.
Lancers Landing:
● Sara Robeson reported
● Need to secure day managers and daily volunteers
● Window sales are doable
● Looking to increase pricing on some items
● Amy Danner will continue to manage inventory 24/25
● Shalini Arya will manage the school store volunteers 24/25
● Volunteers are needed.
● Store will close the last week of school. Sooner if no volunteers sign up.
● Store sales have been down due to the store being closed 2-3 days a week.
Community Outreach and Events:
● Giovanna Lear reported
● Volleyball challenge was a success. Purchased gift cards for the winning team from Corner Pub and Grill, Big Chief, Wildwood Pub. Pizza was a good sell, no one missed chick fil a.
● Special olympics success – sold out of all snacks, hot dogs no left overs – were short some hot dogs.
● Considering using tickets or colored bracelets for next year to track who gets lunch and who has been served lunch.
Spirit Wear:
• Sara Robeson reported
• Spirit wear sales going well
• Spirit wear store link is on MTK under a drop down menu and is open to the public.
• New tshirt, and sweatshirt designs available
• Will do an order over the summer for the fall
• Don’t need to pay for new items until the new fiscal year
• Jen Adams will share the store link with RVMS
Staff Appreciation:
● Sara Robeson and Giovanna Lear reported
● Plans are in the works for a Hydration Station Day in April.
● LaDonna is also planning for the final all staff luncheon which will take place May 24th. Still deciding on a vendor for that event. That event will need volunteers as well. Any ideas send them to LaDonna.

Next LPO Meeting:
• Sara Robeson will announce when she will have a meeting to close out the 2023/2024 school year.
• Brainstorming meeting for the 2024/2025 year will be Monday June 6, 2024 at 6:00pm. Location TBD
