PSAT

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is the official route of entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program. The PSAT is not a college admittance exam. The PSAT/NMSQT is a challenging academic exam, emphasizing English and Math. Less than the top 2% of all testers nationally qualify as National Merit Finalists.

Lafayette will offer the opportunity for junior and sophomore students to take the PSAT during the school day on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024.

  • Juniors: This is your only opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Programs.
  • Sophomores: Test your skills and practice prior to your junior year.

The PSAT/NMSQT test is now digital. This new format is easier for students to take, shorter, has more time per question, and comes with a built-in calculator.

Registration

  • Registration for the PSAT is available online only and ends on September 2, 2024
  • Late registrations will not be accepted
  • Exam fee $25
